Description: |
Fixer-upper sailboat I bought about 10 years ago with the intent to keep sailing my other boat while I fixed this girl up. However, she was in good enough shape to sail and thats pretty much what I have done with her, mainly on the Michigan waters of Lake Erie. Her PO raced her in Lake Michigan and as far as I know has always been a freshwater boat. This is the settee version, and has the tall rig. The PO built a large bowsprit/platform on her and moved the headsail tack onto the tip of that platform. She has a feathering prop and sails quite nicely and is not a slug in the speed department. She does need cosmetic work, as well during the winter 3 years ago the snow load on the cover caused some stanchion/bedding damage along the starboard side and needs 3 stanchions replaced as well as repairs to the liner inside the cabin. If anybody is interested, I can email pictures of this damage. She has the Atomic 4 gas engine, and always ran great, I would have it winterized by my marina. I have not ran it since having her hauled to northern Michigan. Hull is in good shape, as are the spars & rigging. |
