It is with much regret that I am selling my insanely fun San Juan 24. I am upgrading to a larger race boat, and can't have two (although I wish I could race both.) This is Hull #967. This is a 1979 San Juan 24 that was rescued from the likely peril of State ownership. This was left on a buoy for several years and it was eventually taken by the State. The previous owner purchased it from the State in 2015 and he painstakingly rebuild and nurtured Shindig back to health. What he hasn't upgraded and repaired, which was just about everything that needed attention, I finished the job. There is a new bulkhead, running rigging (standing rigging is in fantastic shape and was recently tuned), outboard, lighting, battery, etc. The boat is in excellent condition. The hull has no blisters and no issues. Below is a fairly comprehensive list of what has been replaced - I'm sure I've missed some things: Brand new heavy dacron mainsail - Ballard Sails - Summer 2016 (beautiful) 155% #1 Racing main - used and still has great shape Masthead wind vane Mast light and all navigation lights upgraded to LED Interior lights upgraded to LED Lifelines all replaced (the port side however needs to be re-swaged after a lot of summer sailing) New Traveller car All blocks and fairleads replaced REparied/replaced all bent stanchions New front hatch New adjustable engine bracket Used 8 hp long shaft Mercury outboard that runs like a top Tiller extension on outboard New Bottom paint in 2016
