29.5' Catalina Catalina 30 TRBS

1981 Catalina 30 #2276 is a classic family cruiser/racer designed by Catalina Yachts owner Frank Butler in 1974. Stable, safe, friendly sailboat for any coastal/inland sea. Over 6700 C30 were built during its 40 year production run. Shermax was featured in Cruising World October 2014. Cruised extensively in Chesapeake Bay and raced in Wednesday nite beer can series with Southern Maryland Sailing Assn. IC30A member.

Original owner upgraded and maintained with OEM parts and numerous Garhauer Marine appliances, traveler, solid vang, genoa track, blocks. Five internal mast halyards.
Tall rig with bowsprit and fin keel, 29 11, 10 10 beam, 5 3 depth, 10,500 displacement. Wheel steering, capstan controls, instruments. Stern seats in pulpit. 2 Lewmar #7 mast, #10 mainsheet, 2 Lewmar #40 genoa, 2 Lewmar #30 spin winches.
Universal M4-30 diesel (1993) 4-cylinder 30hp midship engine. Recently rebuilt exhaust and water cooling system. 20 gal alum tank. 2 new batteries. Martec 14 2 blade folding prop, stainless shaft, new PSS shaft seal.
Anodized spars, aluminum spreaders, 1994 Harken roller furler, backstay adjuster. 2008 Quantum Main 7.5 oz Dacron, loose footed, fully battened, single reef. 2012 Quantum 155% Genoa 7.5 oz Pentrex, roller furling, no cover. 2015 Sailrite 155% Genoa 2 oz mylar. 2014 FX Sails 115% Jib, roller furling, no cover. 2014 Quantum nylon symmetrical spinnaker w/pole. On January, 19, 2001 the Catalina 30 Yacht was inducted into the Sail America, American Sailboat Hall of Fame during the Sail Expo at Atlantic City, NJ.
