Description: |
Selling our Hunter 25.5 sailboat, we're both currently students at UGA in Athens and can't give her the attention she deserves. Bought her in Myrtle Beach last winter for a summer trip, sailed her over 2000 miles, half of which was in the Bahamas (we made it as far as Eleuthera!)
Includes: 1992 Evinrude 8.0hp outboard motor- runs smooth, includes all parts, turns over on first crank--this motor is a workhorse 110w solar panel and controller- Installed ourselves, simple system runs USB charger, running lights, depth finder and cabin lights. The system runs to a single deep cycle battery and is relatively barebones but easy to work on and has a lot of modification potential Depth finder- Eagle Cuda 300 Depth finder, needs new cable Alcohol stove- Fully functioning Origo 4000 alcohol stove, super simple little stove came stock with the boat Sails- Includes three hank-on headsails (one jib, one storm jib and one gennaker, all in good condition but need new sheets), one mainsail in need of repair or total replacement
Replaced the halyard lines when we bought the boat in January of this year, installed new foot pump to galley sink which connects to a 15gal water tank, scraped the hull in early July but needs new bottom paint
This boat is seaworthy and ready to go right now, could be even better with just a little work. Steamer light needs to be rewired, there's a few minor leaks in the pop top that should be patched, radio is not functioning and needs new antenna (we used a handheld and had no problems). This boat has seen a lot of love over the past 8 months and we want to see her to a good home.
If you're thinking of using her for bigger crossings, let us know. We have some extra gear we can include for an added price (including a tiller autopilot). Delivery is also available within reason. Currently anchored off Coffee Bluff
