27' Cape Dory 27

For sale is a great 1982 Cape Dory 27. The best Cape Dory's were these later models (80's) which were fitted with the upgraded factory teak interior trim and bulkheads. This 27 is a real work boat with its full keel and is said to sail better than the CD 28. This boat has the desirable Yanmar 2GM two cylinder diesel as apposed to the under powered single cylinder Yamnar or the old Ferryman diesel found in many CD's. The boat is also fitted with an Edison helm wheel with a working autohelm/autopilot instead of tiller making longer journeys very pleasurable and a great value. I've lived on this boat for entire summers and it's a joy to stay on with its spacious settees and forward berth. The dodger aft-canvas makes for wonderful cockpit lounging on sunny days. You'll truly appreciate how this boat looks at anchor when you approach it by dingy. It gets lot of compliments and is a quality-built vessel. If you're looking for a bullet proof, serious cruising vessel under 30', look no further.
