Description: |
Designed by Holman & Pye of Oyster Yacht fame and built in the Carabela Shipyard in San Adrain de Besos Spain, Me Voy is truly a one of a kind vessel. Her classic lines and rich mahogany interior are reminiscent of a bygone era which celebrated the romance of sailing and the connection to the sea. With her skeg hung rudder, fin keel, and ample displacement, she was built to cross oceans and easily handle coastal cruising. Her owners have been fantastic stewards, and have always maintained her to the highest standards. Me Voy is is the epitome of style and grace and will always be the most beautiful yacht in the harbor. If a unique, well built boat with tons of character is what you're dreaming of, this is the boat for you.
Accommodations: This beautifully designed vessel has two staterooms, two heads, a large galley, and a roomy salon with comfortable seating for 6 plus. The aft berth has been changed from its original design as sleeping quarters to extend galley space and accommodate extra storage. From the companionway stairs, the salon is forward with a dining area to port and a straight settee and forward facing nav station to starboard. The dinette can convert to a berth if needed. Gorgeous mahogany cabinetry with locking doors provides a surprising amount of storage space. Several large windows, charming bronze portholes and integrated deck prisms flood the space with light and a good breeze at anchor. Starboard aft is the galley. Bamboo countertops, an oversized sink, Mariner propane stove, Adler Barbour refrigeration and plenty of storage space, are what make this galley highly functional as well as beautiful.
The hull consists of a thick layer of fiberglass over cold molded three layer 3/8" Mahogany planking, which is epoxy bound and fastened.
This technique of construction produces a hull that is of superior strength. This boat was designed for circumnavigation and had crossed the Atlantic from Europe on her own bottom.
On deck is a teak overlay that was reseamed in 2018 and shows beautifully. |
