35' Schock Santana 35

Allow me to intorduce our wonderful Schock Santana 35 Miami Vice. This boat was previously raced extremely sucessfully under the names V-Max and Consigliere. The reason for selling is we have had a hard time maintaining crew and are unable to enjoy the boat to its current potential. Our team and family wish to go a different direction.

We have done a large amount of tasteful upgrades as well as kept up with extrodinary maintainace. Since we purchased Miami Vice we have re-faired the keel and rudder, taking both completely down, rebarrier-coating and painting. There is VC17M on the hull and Black Widow on the keel and rudder.

The mast is completely stripped each season and all components inspected. We replaced intermidiate shroud bolt and all shroud pins. All turn buckles where cleaned and lubricated. The spreaders where also repainted with plans to paint the mast and boom this winter.

Under Consigliere she won the Storm Trysail Mills Trophy Race overall 3 years in a row as well as multiple class podiums in the Bayview to Mackinac Race.

All the wood visible on deck (handrails, hatch slides, foot chalks, etc.) sanded down, epoxied, and varnished to perfection. The same was done to the tiller, hatches, companionway guides, and stairs. The floorboards and other interior pieces have been varnish as well.

At the begining of the season the entire electronics system completely died. The old nexus mast displays are now paired to a top of the line Garmin GNX system with full wind speed depth.

She comes with all the necessary equipment to continue her winning racing career or to take of around the great lakes and cruise away.

Miami Vice has never been in salt water, she was sold new into lake st. claire.

Garmin Sail Pack 52 (GNX) new in 2021. Paired with Garmin 542s Chartplotter and Garmin 942xs Chartplotter. Two deck compasses and engine rpm and water temp guage.

Volvo MD7A disesl engine with two 12v battery bank.
In 2021 the fuel tank was completely removed and throughly cleaned inside and out. We suspect bad diesel was a culprit an all 20 gallons was thrown away and new (tested) diesel was put in. In order to insure its integrety we rebedded the deck fill and replaced breather hose, deck fill hose, and deck fill cowl. Most fuel lines where replaced as well as routine replacement of new racor fuel filters, oil change, and impeller replacement.
Shore power and Cabin lights red and white.

All standing rigging replaced in 2016. Main and Genoa halyards new in 2019 and spinnaker halyards new in 2018. Running backstays and full backstay completely replaced in 2021.

Ice box, two sinks, and a fully functionalkenyon two burner alcohol stove.

Bow hatch and main companionway hatch are new as of 2018 as well as companionway boards in 2020. All the new hatches are replaced with old hatches in the winter in order to preserve their condition.

A 6 post (optional 8) cradle is included.
