Description: |
Yellowbird l is back on the market with some exciting new upgrades! Boat is located in Grenada. All interior and exterior photos taken in 2022.
Willing to discuss delivery to islands within Caribbean.
The KM30 was designed by Dutch naval architect Frans Cobelens, and constructed in Hamilton Ontario in 1980 by Karmac, a boat-building company founded as a collaboration between an expert welder and a master carpenter. The hull, constructed of cold-rolled steel, has spent the majority of its life in the fresh waters of the Great Lakes, and as such suffers a lot less from corrosion issues more common on salt-water steel boats of the same age. The all-teak interior has been well maintained and is in excellent condition. We bought this boat in 2016 from the original owner, who had been very meticulous with her upkeep. In our preparation to sail to the Caribbean in the spring of 2020, we put a lot of work into Yellowbird l, and have added many upgrades (listed below) to bring her up to the level of a true ocean cruising sailboat.
