Description: |
This Rhodes Reliant is in good condition. It was overhauled in the mid 90s, including new teak decks. While some rigging (e.g. main spreaders) have been replaced, the spars are original and well maintained.
I have cruised her with my family from NYC along Long Island Sound and out to Cape Cod. This Phil Rhodes design is an excellent, seaworthy, cruising design.
One nice feature of the layout is an after cabin with its own companionway and two quarterberths. This was my kids' room when we cruised. The design is very good for a family of 4. |
Equipment: |
Main, jib and mizzen are worn and will need replacement. Drifter, spinnaker and mizzen staysail are in good condition.
52 HP Yanmar diesel with about 800 hours, well maintained and in excellent condition.
3KW Westerbeke genset, also in very good condition.
Heat pump for A/C and heat.
GPS, chartplotter, wind, depth, speed. Radar plotter does not work. Autopilot does not work--probably course computer.
Simple Dometic non-pressurized alcohol stove. |
