With fin keel, skeg mounted rudder, wheel steering, cockpit control for all running rigging, heavy duty hull, and 5200 lb displacement, wind dancer regularly outperforms boats in and above her class in light or heavy winds, and is easily singlehanded. When other boats are reefing she can go full sail. Points easily in an 80 degree swing and tighter. | My husband and I have owned and taken excellent care of Anduril for over 21 years, but we’re now looking to move up to a bigger boat.
Anduril is 100% ready to sail, with mainsail, four jibs (80, 100, 150 and 180), spinnaker, 1-year old Nissan 6HP 4-cycle outboard (long-shaft), current registration, working running lights, etc. All sails are older, but definitely usable.
She is a great little sailor and would make an excellent starter boat for someone just beginning to sail. She’s great fun to take out for a day cruise, a weekend at the islands, or if the weather is blown out, she’s a great weekend “beach condo” get-away.
Her v-berth accommodations are roomy for a small boat. The v-berth bed is approximately 76” in length and 72” at the widest (top), comfortably sleeping two adults. Moving aft, directly in front of the berth is a closet to starboard and a custom built mahogany storage unit to port. The porta-potti is conveniently set-up to port in the v-berth area, tucked out of sight.
The main area has a couch to starboard and the galley to port. The couch can be configured into a double-sized sleeper for 2 and there are cushions to extend a single berth under the starboard cockpit. The galley has a sink with manual pump plumbed to a 12 gallon fresh water tank under the v-berth. There is also a small refrigerator that runs off 110V when connected to shore power. The custom cabinetry is mahogany and all the cushion covers and foam are new within the last five years.
Anduril is pristine, the pictures speak for themselves. Her hull is LP and her bottom was painted in mid-2008. Her standing and running rigging are all new since 2004. Anduril sails really well. When she hits her stride, she can run at 6.5 to 7 knots. Under power, she can run at 5 knots. She is solid in the water with 3000 pounds of lead in her keel. Details >> |

Very clean and well maintained, two-owner boat. This is a great sailing boat with a large cockpit that can seat 7 to 9 people comfortably.
All lines lead to the cockpit to make single-handed sailing a breeze. Rear-entry allows even older passengers to walk on board easily.
Built-in ladder allows swimmers easy access from the water. On calm days, we have pulled 4 children behind the boat on a floatation tube using the motor and they had a great time at little more than half power.
Large folding Bimini top affords nice shade on hot days. Built-in stereo plays radio or CD's from 10-disc magazine. Great for weekend sleep-overs with a full-size bed plus a smaller bed for children. Has two-burner propane stove and running water. Also a small gas grill for outside cooking.
This is a very stable and forgiving boat that weathervanes into the wind and rights itself when extreme gusts might over-power other craft. From the pen Of W.I.B. Crealock "ANN" is an extremely heavily built traditional double ender. The Dreadnought 32 design closely resembles the design of the original Tahiti Ketch. This original design was by John Hanna in 1928 and was approximatley thirty feet in length. The design really "caught on" and approximately 3000 were built in wood throughout the world. In the late sixties a yard near Santa Barbara, Ca bought the rights to manufacture the yacht in fiberglass from the designer's widow.
According to naval architect, Mr. W.I.B. Crealock, the manufacturer engaged him to correct an apparently under canvassed Tahiti Ketch sail plan. He designed the Marconi sloop and the ketch versions with increased sail area from 550 sq ft to approx. 800 sq ft. According to former Dreadnought Boatworks employees an old wooden Tahiti Ketch hull was used as the original source to construct the mold to manufacture the fiberglass hull. The manufacturer also enlarged the vessel to 32 feet,improved the sailing characteristics, and revised the accomodation plan. Subsequently, during a period of about ten years, 83 hulls were produced. Dreadnought 32s were offered in several stages of completion;from hull only, hull with a fiberglass deck, and to a completely finished vessel. Sister ships have accomplished several circumnavigations and the design is considered very "blue water" capable. The first owner bought this vessel and had it shipped by railway to the E.Coast. It was not "splashed" until 1983 and a total of eight years was spent outfitting her. He kept the boat for 20 years in New Hampshire and was stored undercover every winter. Current owner has made extensive improvements. She is in excellent condition and ready to sail any of the worlds' seas.

We spent 4 years cruising the Caribbean in safety and comfort on the "Rose".
The hull of the Krogen Cutter is of fiberglass sandwich construction with closed-cell PVC foam core; heavy hand lay-up using mat and roving.
This state-of-the-art construction is one of the most enduring and safest afloat. (Closed-cell PVC foam core does not deteriorate or absorb water.)
The composite structure serves both as a buoyancy material and shock, sound and temperature insulator.

The flush deck along with a 12’ 8” beam makes the interior much roomier compared to other 38' sailboats.
There is a U-shaped settee to port and a settee and custom nav station to starboard. The large 2 leaf table will seat 8 comfortably.
The galley has plenty of cabinets and refrigeration compartment is huge. Corian countertops; HilleRange gimbaled 3 burner propane stove and oven; New Adler Barbour refrigeration system; Double stainless steel sink; Microwave;

From the pen Of W.I.B. Crealock "ANN" is an extremely heavily built traditional double ender. The Dreadnought 32 design closely resembles the design of the original Tahiti Ketch. This original design was by John Hanna in 1928 and was approximatley thirty feet in length. The design really "caught on" and approximately 3000 were built in wood throughout the world. In the late sixties a yard near Santa Barbara, Ca bought the rights to manufacture the yacht in fiberglass from the designer's widow.
According to naval architect, Mr. W.I.B. Crealock, the manufacturer engaged him to correct an apparently under canvassed Tahiti Ketch sail plan. He designed the Marconi sloop and the ketch versions with increased sail area from 550 sq ft to approx. 800 sq ft. According to former Dreadnought Boatworks employees an old wooden Tahiti Ketch hull was used as the original source to construct the mold to manufacture the fiberglass hull. The manufacturer also enlarged the vessel to 32 feet,improved the sailing characteristics, and revised the accomodation plan. Subsequently, during a period of about ten years, 83 hulls were produced. Dreadnought 32s were offered in several stages of completion;from hull only, hull with a fiberglass deck, and to a completely finished vessel. Sister ships have accomplished several circumnavigations and the design is considered very "blue water" capable. The first owner bought this vessel and had it shipped by railway to the E.Coast. It was not "splashed" until 1983 and a total of eight years was spent outfitting her. He kept the boat for 20 years in New Hampshire and was stored undercover every winter. Current owner has made extensive improvements. She is in excellent condition and ready to sail any of the worlds' seas.

IOR 3/4 toner for the 1971 Admiral Cup and the round the UK Race. Built in Greece by Olympic Yachts, it features a very sturdy fiberglass / divynicell sandwich hull where woodworkmanship abounds.
The cockpit is designed for safety at sea. It is relatively small and secure. Its left lazarette can host 2 large sails, or an inflatable dinghy and the barbecue! Large access to the port side of the engine.
Two steps lead to the main cabin. On port, a kitchen area is fitted with a safe Origo alcohol double top burners stove (2007). A new foot pump (2009) is located over the trash can locker. From this locker, we can access the engine's sea water pump in order to change the impeller (yearly). Two drawers and a locker below the stove contain utensils, casserole, silverware.
The Ice box is located between the trash can area and the cooking area. Far away from the engine compartment, it keeps a block of ice for 36 hours.
Opposite to the kitchen is the navigation table. Behind the table is a comfortable quarter berth with aeration to the cockpit.The polyethylene diesel tank is located below it.
The base of the nav table hosts two long drawers for tools and spares. The bottom locker is ideal for maintenance supplies.
A "wing" table is centered over the keel. Port settee hosts the batteries and the flexible water tank. Starboard settee offers a large locker. We presently store heavy spare tackle.Above both settees are two watch berth. Quite suitable for children. We use them as library and clothes storages. In total, the vessel sleeps five people (7 with the small berths ), with 6 ft headroom.
Walking forward is the head on port. A holding tank was installed in 2000. Shower and sink have a foot pump. On starboard, a hanging closet and a 4 shelves unit are closed with sail clothes doors and zippers.
Forward large double v-berth cabin with sail storage under berth, lockers, bookshelves.
