This is one of the most popular models ever built by Tartan. The Tartan 40 was designed by Sparkman and Stephens to be a comfortable cruising boat with excellent performance and handling characteristics.
“Endless Love Too” has had two owners since first purchased. She was lovingly cared for in Hingham, Massachusetts until her original owner, unable to continue sailing, sold her in the winter of 2010 to fulfill a lifetime dream of her current owner: to sail across the Atlantic and around the Mediterranean, back across the Atlantic to the Caribbean and, finally, to sail back to Canada in the spring of 2012. She has performed this task beautifully, handling all conditions with ease.
She was surveyed in 2010, before purchase, at the request of the current owner. All problems identified in the survey have been corrected along with many, many upgrades and repairs that had not been attended to over the years. She is now in excellent condition, ready for years of relatively trouble-free sailing.

This sailboat has had the import duties paid in Curacao and would make an excellent liveaboard whether at anchor, sailing or as an inexpensive floating condo, placed in one of the most beautiful protected harbors in the Caribbean. For those unfamiliar with the Columbia name, these boats were built before manufacturers new how much fiberglass to use so they erred on the side of safety resulting in a hull that was overbuilt (1" hull thickness), that ended up with a stiff, secure platform, virtually indestructable under normal use.
Engine: Perkins marine diesel 4-236-U-804-94 C/R 16:1 (5100 original hours)

The Morgan 384 was the last design modification to the Morgan 38 series. There are some 500 382, 383, and 384 Ted Brewer designed boats under active ownership. The boat is extremely strong and is built for coastal and offshore waters. She sail well under all conditions and is relatively gentle in heavy weather. The boat is fairly simply rigged and can be sailed single handed under most conditions. She keeps dry.
The boat has a large cockpit, with good drains, and wide decks. It has an 8 inch toe rail that adds to safety and helps keep crew and kit on board!
The layout of the 384 is quite conventional. The forward “V” berth has direct access to the head and shower. The main cabin has a double leafed table with surrounding settees. The galley is on the port side next to the companion way, and the nav station is opposite on the starboard side. Aft of the nav station is a quarter berth. An additional pilot berth is above the settee on the ports side. There is room to sleep 8, but four to five is comfortable. The interior is in teak with white cabin roof. There is a LOT of storage space (one of the aspects that make this boat popular. The boat has four dorade boxes. The engine is accessed by removing the companion way steps, and via the port cockpit locker and the starboard quarter berth. Although a tight fit the present owner was able to virtually rebuild the engine insitu!
The boat is nicely balanced under sail and points well. She has been raced and is officially rated at a PHRF of 163. Her sails include main, two asymetric spinnakers, a symetrical spinnaker, 80 working jib and two genoas (150 and 130). Reefing is slab type, Dutchman flaking for the main and a Harken furler for the jib and genoas.
The boat cruises comfortably under power at about 6 kts, driven by a 50 hp Perkins 4018 diesel engine (3,500 hours). The engine runs well and uses little oil. Oil seals and gaskets were recently renewed. This boat has a three blade prop.

This boat is a beautiful example of a well-maintained and ready-to-sail Catalina 30. Fresh bottom paint and new zincs were added in 2010. The boat has no blisters and the original keel bolts have been replaced with stainless steel hardware. The exterior brightwork has been refinished and all new high-performance running rigging was installed in 2011 along with new dock lines and fenders. The boat has a new (not rebuilt) freshwater cooled M3-20B 21HP Universal diesel engine with less than 250 hours on it and a new Hurth transmission. During 2011, Morgan Jones underwent an extensive refit in which every single item from stem to stern has either been renewed, cleaned or replaced. This boat has been a very special project to me and my family and now it is time to let her shine for new owners. She is a joy to sail and is very comfy for the family. Morgan Jones is a real head-turner at the dock. Morgan Jones is in extraordinary condition for her age and is completely turn-key!

Take advantage of the fact that my financial situation forces me to dramatically lower the price. On top of it the winter storage is paid. This is one of the finest boats designed by J. It is a performance cruiser. It will move in the lightest of winds and stand up, with the proper reefing, to the heaviest of winds. It was modeled after the J40. It sleeps 5 with a private forward cabin, hanging locker, bulkhead mounted table, head w/shower aft to starboard, L-shaped galley to port, teak cabin sole, Varnished teak interior finish, S/S sink, top-loading ice boax, Origo 2 burner alcohol stove w/oven and hot and cold pressure water. It has a Non-Skid Deck, light & Ventilation provided by 3 deck hatches and 6 opening ports along with screens. The boat has double life lines, a starboard boarding gate and a stern mounted ladder and gate. It is both pretty to look at and sails beautifully. We had it out last week in 12 knt winds and moved along at over 6 knts. I have fixed the boat to make it very easy to single hand. It has a furling, self tacking jib in addtion to a genny. It has a mack pack so the sail can be dropped quickly and zippered up into it's own cover. The Hull is Dark Blue. The engine starts up every time without a problem. The boat has been winterized every year by professionals. We have owned quite a few boats over the years and this is our favorite. The only reason we are selling is that we purchased a house on a canal which does not have the five foot draw that the boat requires. I know that whoever buys the boat will love it as much as we do.

You will not find a better maintained and more spacious 30’ 'older' cruiser! Practical Sailor says: “The Catalina 30 is the logical choice for the family battlewagon”. The cockpit is roomy enough for five and features a table with drink holders, cushions and hot and cold showers! It is protected by a canvas dodger with new Eisenglass.
Below you will find a most pleasing interior that defies her age! Navy cushions on a convertible setee (makes into a oversize double bed) and opposite single settee. A large fold-away table and additional quarter berth complete a design that is perfect for family weekends or cruising for two. The galley features dual sinks, ice box, plenty of storage and is opposite a full nav station. Head has stand-up shower and everyplace you look there are large hatches and storage galore.
The diesel was repowered in 2002. This boat is in superb condition and ready to sail away. If you are looking for a GREAT and AFFORDABLE 30 footer you must see Inspiration! She is for sale only because owner purchased a larger boat for a southern liveaboard lifestyle.

Bill Shaw designed Pearson 28 in great condition. This boat has won the Cedar Point Yacht Club (Westport, CT) Wed night racing in Div 3 5 seasons in a row!
The tiller was replaced long ago with a wheel (there is still an emergency tiller), and the traveler was moved up onto the cabin top. I love this as it proves a huge cockpit area. I can lie down!
I put in a new Yanmar 14 hp 2 cylinder inboard engine about 6 years ago. Raymarine Autohelm, 2007 Quantam 155 Racing kevlar jib, 1 155 Quantum dacron cruising jib and 1 Quantum dacron main, 2 Lewmar 30 2 speed self tailing winches 2007, new folding prop 2007, vang, V Berth, head, 2 sinks, salon w/1 or 2 more berths, deep lockers in cockpit.
I had the bottom sandblasted down to the gelcoat 5 years ago and a racing bottom put on. Have sanded and painted with VC Offshore ever since. I had the mast restepped in 2010, as well as all rigging inspected and repaired where needed.
Removable folding wood table for cockpit. Great for sunset wine and cheese!
Removable wood cockpit floor boards.
Great boat in great shape. Cruise to Block Island, day sail, or club race.

1985 Wauquiez Hood 38 MKII - Blue Water Racer/Cruiser! -
Huge Price Reduction!!
This fast shoal draft cruiser has been well maintained, continually upgraded, and offers great sailing performance. Renowned for their superior construction and joinery, yachts built by Henri Wauquiez have long garnered a strong reputation for exceeding the demands of ardent sailors worldwide. The Hood 38, designed by Ted Hood, offers an exceptional opportunity for those seeking a fast, "go anywhere", shallow draft cruiser built to high custom standards. The improved Mark II offers direct access to the companionway steps from the cockpit and a very spacious layout below. The solid FRP hull, thick gel coat, exceptional tabbing application and finish workmanship are all of premier quality. The tall powerful rig offers great light wind (and upwind) performance yet she is stiff, well balanced, and equally comfortable in a strong blow. These characteristics are what combine to have highly accomplished Navel Architect Robert Perry tell the owner that the Wauquiez Hood 38 MKII “is an exceptionally robust and well built yacht, and is his favorite sailing yacht in this class”. After 1987, this successful design went on to be produced in the US as the Little Harbor 38, and the Bristol 38, but the Wauquiez 38 remains the only one to offer the private aft cabin arrangement below.
With many recent upgrades, this particular Wauquiez Hood 38 MK II is clean, offshore ready, outfitted for extended cruising, and in turn key condition – just bring your bags, provision and go! There is a full set of tools aboard, and the inventory includes many spare and replacement parts/essentials. Located in the Lesser Antilles Caribbean islands, she is ideally located to start your cruising dreams.

Romanza, a Pedrick 41, built by Cheoy Lee, is the perfect cruising sailboat in this size and price range. Internal fin keel and skeg-hung rudder provide better upwind and handling characteristics than full keel boats while providing the same safety and ruggedness. This boat has real mattresses in both cabins, an electric head and 250ft of triple-B chain. Romanza has the beautiful interior teak that only Cheoy Lee offers. She seats 8 comfortably for dinner at her huge dining table. She is powered by a Perkins 4-108 with around a 1200 original hours. The Perkins drives a three blade Max-prop.
This boat is ready to sail away today and makes the perfect Catalina cruiser. She has several projects to do over time which is the reason that the price is less than comparable Pedricks! The biggest project is the teak decks. They need refastening and re-caulking. The teak wood is still OK.

If you don't know her - she's a fine example of J's successful 29' hot rod built in the mid-80's. Yet easy to sail. Hull and decks are structurally sound. Bottom professionally redone, faired along with the keel and 2 coats of epoxy barrier coat three years ago, when I bought her. If you do your research, don't let the frac rig dissuade you. Her stick is nearly 4' taller than a masthead. The boom is also a foot longer. The foretriangle is smaller, making sailing with less crew/kids a little more manageable. I often single hand/race the boat. There are no runners to fool with and with a quick tug on the backstay adjuster the whole rig can be tweaked to varying conditions. I have sailed this boat for three years and it has been a pure pleasure in all conditions, from the light, to 30 knots in the Winter, to spending the weekend on the water. Interior is great condition (no pix). Sails are in excellent condition including hardly used spinnaker. They have been lightly used.
- Custom Trailer for this J29 with keel guide
- Priced below comparable J/29s
- Hull #232

Hawk has a strong history. She's had great racing results in the past (with better sailors than ourselves). Most notably a 3rd in the 2004 Martin 242 NA's and a 2nd in the 2005 NA's as well as many other good racing results.
Since owning Hawk, we've worked hard to get the go fast items in order, including re-painting the bottom with VC-Offshore, updated hardware (new harken winches, harken mainsheet assembly with cam, modern cabin top cam cleats), many replaced lines (mostly spectra core), shroud re-enforcement with new u-bolts and more small items.
Included with Hawk is two sets of cruising sails, wooden settee and v-berth inserts, v-berth cushions (surprisingly comfortable, very retro). Please note though, that there is no outboard being offered with the boat. Optional addition is a 2011 refurbished road trailer.
Boat condition would be rated at ok-to-great. Go fast items like the hull bottom, boat hardware and trailer rated good-to-great. Overall boat, interior, decks, mast/boom rated good. Sails, hull sides and pull pit rated ok.
BOAT HIGHLIGHTS
Fast boat! (with better sailors than ourselves) Hawk placed:
3rd in the '04 NAs, and
2nd in the '05 NAs
Cruising wooden inserts and cushions included
Numerous upgrades to keep the boat fast
Optional 2011 refurbished trailer.
Asking $12,000 $2,000 for the trailer.

I purchased the boat new, however it was a previous years model which was a dealers showroom for a year or two…..a so-called leftover (I think the hull is 2007, but I didn’t buy or use until 2009).
Short and sweet – the boat, trailer, outboard (yamaha – perfect!), extra sail, etc. together would cose approz. 23,500 new. I would take approx. 12K for this boat – a savings of 50%.
I will put up a post which shows some pictures and details. The basics are that the boat is in perfect and 100% usable condition – it is not, however, currently “spit shined” (buffed and waxed) as I do that in the spring before the new season. There have never been any collisions or repair to the glass. In other words, with a bit of elbo grease…and new decals if you want to be a perfectionist, it’s as good as a new boat!
Note- I will give a buyer in January a special early buy discount. Please inquire!

Price just reduced!! The biggest Seidelmann ever made. Built solid, comfortable and fast. Boat needs love and work to be 'ship ready', hence a huge price discount. Positives: NEW 2010 YANMAR 3GMD (3 cyl, 23 hp) engine (oil just changed)/NEW Transmission/NEW Alternator, New Fuel Tank, New Muffler, bottom paint job was done in September 2010 (still looking good). Deck is firm. All fiberglass is good. New mast (54 ft) was put in November 2011. Now, the negatives: Shrouds need to be adjusted. Minor repair, low cost. Repacking of the stuffing box is required. A female nut on the shaft needs to be replaced. All windows leak and need attention. Ceiling needs some repair/possible replacement. If serious, boat should probably be taken out of water and in a month it could be 'ship ready'.
Please, only serious buyers! I dislike to waist time. I honestly told you everything about this boat, and if you think that my price is in your range, kindly email me back or call/txt me at: 917 545 1433 (leave the message if I cant pick up)

A proven bluewater cruiser, we lived aboard "Mangwana" as a family of five completing a world circumnavigation from 1999-2007.
"Mangwana" is built super strong and is ideal for extended cruising, setup to be easily sailed singlehanded.

The boat is a project, but once finished you have a great cruiser.
Mostly work on the interior, as there was damage from some rainwater that leaked in while sitting.
Designed by Dudley Dix and Built in South Africa by Vickers to very high standards.
The hull is modern and features a long waterline for load carrying and performance. The waterlines forward are fine for wave penetration and the stern is broad and powerful with drawn out sections for speed and good control downwind. A long wing keel gives a smooth ride and shallow draft and heaves to well for safety and comfort in rough weather.
Layout is a pilothouse configuration, large master cabin aft. A raised saloon, kept within the cabin sides to give a view while sitting at the dinette.
The workbench area is well stocked with tools to keep everything running smoothly.
A large stern dive/swim platform provides easy access to the dinghy and with the built in lockers for dive gear and freshwater rinse shower is the ideal launching point for diving adventures.
With 8 solar panels and wind generator providing energy the engine rarely has to be run just for charging the batteries.
