It is a singlehanded Olympic class boat, also sailed at club, national and international levels. Get Ready to Race Laser racing is nothing less than one-design competition in its purest form. Laser racing provides competitors the opportunity to race against sailors at the national level and emphasizes the skills necessary for anyone who aspires to reach this level. This is a great liveaboard vessel that needs work on the outside. I spent much of my time repairing the interior as I needed a home on the water. The stays are currently over 10 years old and I deem them to be unsafe to use for sailing. This is the biggest reason I am selling the vessel cheeply, as you will have to replace them. The boat is currently docked at a marina with excellent staff to oversee the boat, and dockage monthly is $660 per month, non liveaboard when you are not there for the winter!  Details >>

26' Islander Excalibur
My husband and I have owned and taken excellent care of Anduril for over 21 years, but we’re now looking to move up to a bigger boat. Anduril is 100% ready to sail, with mainsail, four jibs (80, 100, 150 and 180), spinnaker, 1-year old Nissan 6HP 4-cycle outboard (long-shaft), current registration, working running lights, etc. All sails are older, but definitely usable. She is a great little sailor and would make an excellent starter boat for someone just beginning to sail. She’s great fun to take out for a day cruise, a weekend at the islands, or if the weather is blown out, she’s a great weekend “beach condo” get-away. Her v-berth accommodations are roomy for a small boat. The v-berth bed is approximately 76” in length and 72” at the widest (top), comfortably sleeping two adults. Moving aft, directly in front of the berth is a closet to starboard and a custom built mahogany storage unit to port. The porta-potti is conveniently set-up to port in the v-berth area, tucked out of sight. The main area has a couch to starboard and the galley to port. The couch can be configured into a double-sized sleeper for 2 and there are cushions to extend a single berth under the starboard cockpit. The galley has a sink with manual pump plumbed to a 12 gallon fresh water tank under the v-berth. There is also a small refrigerator that runs off 110V when connected to shore power. The custom cabinetry is mahogany and all the cushion covers and foam are new within the last five years. Anduril is pristine, the pictures speak for themselves. Her hull is LP and her bottom was painted in mid-2008. Her standing and running rigging are all new since 2004. Anduril sails really well. When she hits her stride, she can run at 6.5 to 7 knots. Under power, she can run at 5 knots. She is solid in the water with 3000 pounds of lead in her keel.  Details >>

The high aspect keel is cast lead and attached with stainless steel keel bolts. The rudder is in good. Overall the entire boat is in very good shape. The Trailer is a 2004 and is in excellent condition.  Details >>

28' Hunter 280
1996 Hunter 280 Sailboat. Asking $32,500.00. This is not a distress sale, but will consider reasonable offers. Virtually identical boat in Chicago is now listed at $37,000; 1999 model in Florida is $49,900. Very clean and well maintained, two-owner boat. This is a great sailing boat with a large cockpit that can seat 7 to 9 people comfortably. All lines lead to the cockpit to make single-handed sailing a breeze. Rear-entry allows even older passengers to walk on board easily. Built-in ladder allows swimmers easy access from the water. On calm days, we have pulled 4 children behind the boat on a floatation tube using the motor and they had a great time at little more than half power. Large folding Bimini top affords nice shade on hot days. Built-in stereo plays radio or CD's from 10-disc magazine. Great for weekend sleep-overs with a full-size bed plus a smaller bed for children. Has two-burner propane stove and running water. Also a small gas grill for outside cooking. This is a very stable and forgiving boat that weathervanes into the wind and rights itself when extreme gusts might over-power other craft. I've had her out using the engine in 3 to 4-foot storm waves and felt safe and under control at all times. Whether you are a novice sailor or experienced, this is a great boat. Lots of fun to sail. Some of the best sailing of the year is now through Jan 1. Don't miss out !  Details >>

A note on buying and selling safely:
Anytime you buy or sell on the Internet, due to the geographic reach of the ads, be careful of fraud.

It has recently come to our attention that at least one seller has received a scam e-mail offer in which the buyer offered to overpay for the boat and then requests a check for the difference in return - what has come to be known as a classic "Nigeria" scam.

Requests to overpay for the boat and have excess money returned or given to a shipping company are most likely fraudulent -- never do this without consulting with your bank first.

Please always use caution and your best judgment if presented with a deal which doesn't seem logical, and be sure to talk with your bank to be sure all checks and transactions have been completed, cleared, and verified before releasing any property. Be especially careful of any transactions from overseas where such transactions might be reversed after some time due to fraud.

  • Be careful of buyers or sellers using free email addresses (hotmail, yahoo, etc.)
  • Contact the buyer or seller by (non-cell) phone as well as online to help confirm their identity.
  • If a boat is not where it says it is, this is a strong indication of fraud.
  • Indonesia and Batam (BTM / INA) are almost always indications of fraud.

Although we are not aware of any seller falling victim to such a scam because of a listing on our site to date, we thought it wise to post this cautionary note.

32' Dreadnought Boat Works 32' Tahiti Cutter
1983 Oriental North Carolina 32 Dreadnought Boat Works 32' Tahiti Cutter

From the pen Of W.I.B. Crealock "ANN" is an extremely heavily built traditional double ender. The Dreadnought 32 design closely resembles the design of the original Tahiti Ketch. This original design was by John Hanna in 1928 and was approximatley thirty feet in length. The design really "caught on" and approximately 3000 were built in wood throughout the world. In the late sixties a yard near Santa Barbara, Ca bought the rights to manufacture the yacht in fiberglass from the designer's widow. According to naval architect, Mr. W.I.B. Crealock, the manufacturer engaged him to correct an apparently under canvassed Tahiti Ketch sail plan. He designed the Marconi sloop and the ketch versions with increased sail area from 550 sq ft to approx. 800 sq ft. According to former Dreadnought Boatworks employees an old wooden Tahiti Ketch hull was used as the original source to construct the mold to manufacture the fiberglass hull. The manufacturer also enlarged the vessel to 32 feet, improved the sailing characteristics, and revised the accomodation plan. Subsequently, during a period of about ten years, 83 hulls were produced. Dreadnought 32s were offered in several stages of completion;from hull only, hull with a fiberglass deck, and to a completely finished vessel. Sister ships have accomplished several circumnavigations and the design is considered very "blue water" capable. The first owner bought this vessel and had it shipped by railway to the E.Coast. It was not "splashed" until 1983 and a total of eight years was spent outfitting her. He kept the boat for 20 years in New Hampshire and was stored undercover every winter. Current owner has made extensive improvements. She is in excellent condition and ready to sail any of the worlds' seas.

38' Wauquiez Hood 38 MKII - PRICE REDUCED!!
1985 Lesser Antillies - Caribbean Sea Outside United States 38 Wauquiez Hood 38 MKII - PRICE REDUCED!!

1985 Wauquiez – Hood 38 MKII - HUGE $15000.00 PRICE REDUCTION - BEST BUY ON THE MARKET! MAKE AN OFFER BEFORE ITS GONE! Renowned for their superior construction and joinery, yachts built by Henri Wauquiez have long garnered a strong reputation for exceeding the demands of ardent sailors worldwide. The Hood 38, designed by Ted Hood, offers an exceptional opportunity to those seeking a fast shallow draft cruiser built to high custom standards. The Mark II allows direct access to the companionway steps from the cockpit and a slightly different layout below than the MK I. The solid FRP hull, thick gel coat, exceptional tabbing application and finish workmanship is considerably above average in this premier category yacht. The tall powerful rig offers great light wind (and upwind) performance, yet she is stiff, well balanced, and equally comfortable in a strong blow. These characteristics are all what combine to have highly accomplished and well known navel architect Robert Perry recently tell the owner that the Wauquiez Hood 38 MKII “is an exceptionally well built yacht, and (it) is his favorite sailing yacht in this class/(size)”. After 1987, this exceptional design went on to be produced in the US as the Little Harbor 38, and the Bristol 38, but the Wauquiez 38 remains the only one designed to offer the private aft cabin arrangement below. With over $20000.00 in recent upgrades, this Wauquiez Hood 38 MK II is clean, offshore ready, outfitted for extended cruising, and in turn key condition – just bring your bags, provision and go! She is a fast “go anywhere” shoal draft cruiser that has been well maintained, continually upgraded, and offers great sailing performance. There is a full set of tools aboard, and the inventory includes many spare and replacement parts/essentials. Located in the Lesser Antilles Caribbean islands, she is ideally located to start your cruising dreams. All serious offers will be considered.

2007 Seattle Washington 35 Beneteau 35.2 Moorings Northwest Edition

2007beneteaumoorings352.blogspot.com/

All sail control lines on a Moorings 35.2 are led aft to the cockpit for safety and convenience. The self-stacking mainsail system with lazy jacks and integral sail cover takes the work out of dropping the main, and the roller-furling genoa makes handling the big sail simple. The engine controls are mounted on the steering pedestal where they’re easy to reach, and the helm features a pivot so the wheel can be swung 90 degrees, allowing unobstructed access to the stern platform. Raising or lowering the anchor with the electric windlass is a labor-saver and there’s even a hand held remote for the windlass. Below is a well-lit and well-ventilated saloon with a drop leaf table for dining, allowing seating to port and starboard. On the starboard side just off the companionway is the galley with refrigerator, stove, oven, and plenty of stowage. To port of the galley is a roomy head that has a stall shower. There are two double cabins, one forward and one aft to enhance privacy. Each cabin has a double bed, generous storage, a hanging locker, a fan, two independent reading lights, and opening ports or hatches.

Yellow Rose is a 38' Kadey Krogen with the rare modified full keel with cutaway and skeg. She is a proven bluewater boat and is equipped for extensive cruising. We spent 4 years cruising the Caribbean in safety and comfort on the "Rose". The hull of the Krogen Cutter is of fiberglass sandwich construction with closed-cell PVC foam core; heavy hand lay-up using mat and roving. This state-of-the-art construction is one of the most enduring and safest afloat. (Closed-cell PVC foam core does not deteriorate or absorb water.) The composite structure serves both as a buoyancy material and shock, sound and temperature insulator. It rides quiet, increases impact strength and eliminates condensation build-up inside the hull. The engine compartment is insulated and readily accessible from all sides for servicing and routine maintenance. Dimensions LOA: 44' 5" LWL: 32' 1" Beam: 12' 8" Draft: 5' 5" Ballast: 7,000 lbs.

She is now safely tucked away, along with over 700 other boats,up the Rio Dulce, Guatemala.A proven performer in light and heavy winds and seas! This version of the Bavaria was the top-of-the-line in 1996 (before Bavaria started to compete in the "charter" market) with unsurpassed construction techniques using technologies approved for aircraft and ice-breaking boats to ensure that the Germanischer Lloyd requirements were exceeded. The factory application of acid resin, together with a powder-bonded glass mat, has successfully produced a completely water tight hull with no osmosis. The "Owner Version" interior is beautifully finished in sculptured mahogany throughout producing a rich, live-aboard atmosphere with a superior galley, lounge two state rooms and head. The twenty-one opening ports, six below the deck level, provide consistently good ventilation. All halyard and sheet lines are led to the cockpit ensuring that all THREE reefs can be incorporated in the mainsail and all sails can be controlled without leaving the cockpit making "KODO" readily sailed single handed. A Volvo Penta, MD2030B diesel engine completes the propulsion system. The comprhensive instrumentation is based on the Autohelm "Sea Talk" system with GPS,radar, autopilot, depth sounder, wind instruments, boat speed, etc. An ICOM VHF transceiver and HF receiver provide communication and reception of weather fax information. Well equipped, well maintained!

An outstanding coastal cruiser (used by the previous owner in Florida and Bahamas) or cruising on inland lakes. Uff Da is in excellent condition. In the summer she is sailed on Pueblo reservoir in southern Colorado. She behaves like a dream handling the dynamic wind conditions of mountain lakes. We towed her to Kentucky Lake in 2008 and were very glad she had the shoal keel. My wife and I love this boat, the only reason I'm selling her is I've moved up to a 36' Beneteau near Corpus Christi getting ready for a long term retirement cruise.
