| 28'3"' O'Day 28 |
| 1982 O’Day, with a diesel inboard engine, pedestal wheel steering, Harken Roller Furling, Garmin GPS/chartplotter, 2 sets of sails, enclosed head, etc.
Overall, the rigging and hull are in good shape. I replaced the rudder about 4 years ago, and the roller furling around 8 years ago. I also replaced the circuit panel and had the boat re-wired. The head was replaced about 6 years ago.
The layout is typical for this boat:
V Berth
Enclosed head
Main salon, with settees (double to port, single to starboard) on either side, and a Ľ berth aft to starboard. There is a small nav station between the starboard settee and the Ľ berth.
To port, there is a small galley area, with a very deep cooler, and a small 2 burner desktop propane stove. There is a sink there as well, that shares pressure water (cold) with the head. The fawcett in the head is portable and doubles as a cold water shower – perfect for the fresh water rinse after a swim. Details >> |

| 23'' C.E. Ryder Sea Sprite 23 |
| As the original owner of Menuet, I had Ryder Yachts build her with so many custom features that they used her as their "show boat" for the 1981 Newport (RI)Show. Some of the optional features added by Ryder are the custom hull color (dark green); all bronze winches & deck hardware; halyards lead aft to the cockpit; and a bow pulpit with life lines. To these I have added Pro Furl headsail furling; a complete marine head system with Raritan toilet & holding tank, macerator pump, and Y-valve for overboard discharge or deck pumpout; a two-axle Triad Trailer with less than 2000 miles over-the-road & four new radial tires; a Honda four-stroke, 2-hp outboard with less than 50 hours use; a new 130% furling genoa from a custom sail loft in Annapolis; a 13-gallon freshwater bladder tank plumbed into the original 10-gallon freshwater system; a second 12-volt, 6-circuit distribution panel; a custom canvas winter cover; new companionway teak weather boards; brand new halyards with Wichard stainless shackles; and a V-berth bed
made of 5-inch "super foam" for maximum back support while sleeping aboard. The inventory of additional equipment is listed below. The most remakable feature about the Sea Sprite 23, aside from her beautiful lines, is her balance under sail. I've single-handed her in 45 kts. of wind with gusts over fifty. Using only a double-reefed main, she was completely stable and safe, & heeled no more than 15 degrees. My only reason for selling her now is that I've spent the last ten years building another famous Ryder Yacht, a Southern Cross 31, and I'm now ready to go cruising. My Sea Sprite, therefore, needs a good home with someone who appreciates the beautiful lines of a traditional yacht, and who knows how to maintain her properly. The asking price is for the entire package (boat, trailer, engine & equipment). For more info. or to make an offer you may contact me via phone or e-mail. Details >> |

| MUST SELL NEED THE $ I Lived on this boat for 3 months and sailed it up to rock island over well over 500 mile trip. Great Size not to big not to small. Has its bumps and bruises but sails like a dream. Has a 1971 9.5hp johnson outboard on it. Will be stored at southwind boat-storage which is paid for and will be sitting on its own cradle. I could not have been more happy with this boat. Its just time to pass on the dream. Email or call me for any questions you have or to make an offer. All offers will be considered, surveyed at the beginging of the summer at $9,700. This boat was in indoor storage for 10 to 15 years before I started working on it last winter. More things need to be added to complete it but it is a solid old boat with low miles.

| The shallow draft of the 14-foot Catboat allows it to sail with ease in only 12 inches of water. The low sheer and full beam make this one of the most stable catboats on the market.
The Arey’s Pond Cat is the first catboat to have a fiberglass coaming. This design feature eliminates the problems commonly found in boats with wooden coamings where the coaming and deck meet. This significantly reduces yearly maintenance.
The 14-foot Catboat in modern fiberglass comes with custom finish, sitka spruce spars, fiberglass hull and deck, teak trim, coaming, rails and floorboards, bronze fittings, ash and mahogany tiller, traditional oak mast hoops, spun Dacron halyard and sheets and positive flotation.

| 32' Dreadnought Boat Works 32' Tahiti Cutter |
| From the pen Of W.I.B. Crealock "ANN" is an extremely heavily built traditional double ender. The Dreadnought 32 design closely resembles the design of the original Tahiti Ketch. This original design was by John Hanna in 1928 and was approximatley thirty feet in length. The design really "caught on" and approximately 3000 were built in wood throughout the world. In the late sixties a yard near Santa Barbara, Ca bought the rights to manufacture the yacht in fiberglass from the designer's widow.
According to naval architect, Mr. W.I.B. Crealock, the manufacturer engaged him to correct an apparently under canvassed Tahiti Ketch sail plan. He designed the Marconi sloop and the ketch versions with increased sail area from 550 sq ft to approx. 800 sq ft. According to former Dreadnought Boatworks employees an old wooden Tahiti Ketch hull was used as the original source to construct the mold to manufacture the fiberglass hull. The manufacturer also enlarged the vessel to 32 feet, improved the sailing characteristics, and revised the accomodation plan. Subsequently, during a period of about ten years, 83 hulls were produced. Dreadnought 32s were offered in several stages of completion;from hull only, hull with a fiberglass deck, and to a completely finished vessel. Sister ships have accomplished several circumnavigations and the design is considered very "blue water" capable. The first owner bought this vessel and had it shipped by railway to the E.Coast. It was not "splashed" until 1983 and a total of eight years was spent outfitting her. He kept the boat for 20 years in New Hampshire and was stored undercover every winter. Current owner has made extensive improvements. She is in excellent condition and ready to sail any of the worlds' seas. Details >> |

| 30' Islander Bahama |
The owners of this Islander Bahama have completed a full restoration inside and out. The exterior has received a complete paint job with all hardware removed and re-bedded. New hatches and ports are installed throughout, with opening ports in the head and v-berth. Each painting project was undertaken with care and it shows in the final product. The re-rigging of the boat has been well thought out and set up for short handing. In many ways, Katie Hill is better than new. The interior has been customized with the vinyl headliner removed and replaced with white paneling trimmed in mahogany. Interior bulkheads are teak veneer plywood and have been refinished. The V berth and quarterberths have also been touched up with mahogany trim. There is new upholstery throughout the boat completing a brand new feel.
Katie Hill has a single spreader Aluminum mast which has been freshly painted. The mast is deck stepped. It has not been rigged and stepped since painting. The owners have purchased brand new standing rigging, turnbuckles halyards, sheaves, spreaders and mast step. With these upgrades her new owner will sail with confidence for many years.
All deck hardware was removed and re-bedded as the boat was repainted. The re-rig of the deck includes a brand new Garhauer Traveler installed forward of the cockpit. Deck organizers lead all control lines and halyards to new Lewmar rope clutches backed by Lewmar winches.
Most of the running rigging aboard has been replaced. Upgrades include halyards and a new rope boom vang led to the cockpit. A brand new ProFurl roller furler waits to be assembled by the new owner. Details >> |

| 46' Formosa Peterson Cutter |
The Formosa Peterson 46 is a fast cruiser, big enough for the whole family. It sleeps up to eight passengers. The v berth and aft cabins provide privacy and plenty of room. In 2005, this boat was completely refurbished. The freshly painted Ford Lehman engine has approximately 30 hours since rebuild. New Hull side paint, crisp sails, and twin furlers are only a few new features.
The Formosa Peterson 46 sleeps eight in comfort with a large separate aft cabin. A fast sailing, but capable offshore cruising cutter rigged yacht. The designer, Doug Peterson, who is known worldwide for his racing designs, provided a cruising yacht with a new concept. His design emphasizes the ability to sail comfortably and safely to a destination regardless of the wind direction, yet has good handling characteristics and is sea kindly.
The construction of the Peterson 44 is rugged and strong yet the lines of the hull and the low profile appearance give a beautiful impression of speed and comfort.
Extensive use of teak in the mid cockpit, on the opening hatches and trim provides a rich yet clean and sharp appearance that is easy to maintain. The interior hand rubbed teak panels and trim maintain the warmth of wood found only in the old world sailing ships. However, the modern interior layout provides the privacy of two separate double cabins, each with private head and shower, large dining facilities, navigator's station, U-shaped galley and a feeling of spaciousness throughout.
No port touched by the blue seas is beyond reach in safety and comfort with the Peterson 44.
The galley is U-Shaped and provides plenty of room to prepare meals at sea. A large serving counter, gimbling stove, and large icebox are all at hand. Cabinets all around allow for plenty of secure storage. The sit-around salon table seats six comfortably. An outdoor table in front of the helm is great for serving food and drinks on deck. A note
on buying and selling safely: Anytime
you buy or sell on the Internet, due to the geographic reach
of the ads, be careful of fraud.
It
has recently come to our attention that at least one seller
has received a scam e-mail offer in which the buyer offered
to overpay for the boat and then requests a check for the
difference in return - what has come to be known as a classic
"Nigeria" scam.
Requests
to overpay for the boat and have excess money returned or
given to a shipping company are most likely fraudulent -- never do this without consulting with your bank first.
Please
always use caution and your best judgment if presented with
a deal which doesn't seem logical, and be sure to talk with
your bank to be sure all checks and transactions have been
completed, cleared, and verified before releasing any property.
Be especially careful of any transactions from overseas
where such transactions might be reversed after some time
due to fraud.
- Be
careful of buyers or sellers using free email addresses
(hotmail, yahoo, etc.)
- Contact
the buyer or seller by (non-cell) phone as well as online
to help confirm their identity.
- If a boat is not where it says it is, this is a strong indication of fraud.
- Indonesia and Batam (BTM / INA) are almost always indications of fraud.
Although
we are not aware of any seller falling victim to such a
scam because of a listing on our site to date, we thought
it wise to post this cautionary note.

|
|
Yellow Rose is a 38' Kadey Krogen with the rare modified full keel with cutaway and skeg. She is a proven bluewater boat and is equipped for extensive cruising.
We spent 4 years cruising the Caribbean in safety and comfort on the "Rose".
The hull of the Krogen Cutter is of fiberglass sandwich construction with closed-cell PVC foam core; heavy hand lay-up using mat and roving.
This state-of-the-art construction is one of the most enduring and safest afloat. (Closed-cell PVC foam core does not deteriorate or absorb water.)
The composite structure serves both as a buoyancy material and shock, sound and temperature insulator.
It rides quiet, increases impact strength and eliminates condensation build-up inside the hull.
The engine compartment is insulated and readily accessible from all sides for servicing and routine maintenance.

Beautiful Catalina 27 standard rig with outboard ready to race or cruise. Very clean and ready to sail. Recently upgraded VHF and AM/FM/DC with new cockpit speakers. New Garmin GPSMAP 525s, upgrading thru-hull sounder is a winter project. New, secondary electrical bus for communication and navigation equipment as well as the SIMRAD autohelm. 9.9 Mercury outboard runs wonderful. Excellent sail inventory, main, standard jib, two genoa's, and spinnaker. Main and jib halyards ran to cockpit with new Lewmar self-tailing winch and Spinnlock clutch. Companionway's dodger features recently replaced windows. Interior features two burner alcohol stove, built-in cooler and recently replaced galley freshwater pump. Professional survey conducted in November 2008. Career and travel have kept "Silent Running" tied to the dock more than sailing - would make the perfect starter sailboat. Sailboat:
|
|
|

An exceptional cruising sailboat, "KODO" was bought in Turkey, in late 1999 and was our only home for 5 years. She was cruised,live-aboard, through the "MED" (including through the canals of France to Paris and back),to Madeira,Azores, the Canary Islands and across to Barbados in 2004.She has been winter cruised throughout the Caribbean from 2004 to 2009 via the eastern islands,Puerto Rico,Spanish,British and US Virgin Islands,Venezuela, the ABC's, Columbia,Panama,Honduras,Guatemala & Belize. She is now safely tucked away, along with over 700 other boats,up the Rio Dulce, Guatemala.A proven performer in light and heavy winds and seas! This version of the Bavaria was the top-of-the-line in 1996 (before Bavaria started to compete in the "charter" market) with unsurpassed construction techniques using technologies approved for aircraft and ice-breaking boats to ensure that the Germanischer Lloyd requirements were exceeded. The factory application of acid resin, together with a powder-bonded glass mat, has successfully produced a completely water tight hull with no osmosis. The "Owner Version" interior is beautifully finished in sculptured mahogany throughout producing a rich, live-aboard atmosphere with a superior galley, lounge two state rooms and head. The twenty-one opening ports, six below the deck level, provide consistently good ventilation. All halyard and sheet lines are led to the cockpit ensuring that all THREE reefs can be incorporated in the mainsail and all sails can be controlled without leaving the cockpit making "KODO" readily sailed single handed. A Volvo Penta, MD2030B diesel engine completes the propulsion system. The comprhensive instrumentation is based on the Autohelm "Sea Talk" system with GPS,radar, autopilot, depth sounder, wind instruments, boat speed, etc. An ICOM VHF transceiver and HF receiver provide communication and reception of weather fax information. Well equipped, well maintained!

An outstanding coastal cruiser (used by the previous owner in Florida and Bahamas) or cruising on inland lakes. Uff Da is in excellent condition. We towed her to Kentucky Lake in 2008 and were very glad she had the shoal keel. Topsides, the 310 has an immense rounded cockpit that allows the crew to participate or just kick back. Above the cockpit, is the integrated fiberglass arch which serves as an attachment point for both the mainsheet and the bimini. This keeps the cockpit clear, uncluttered and ready for action.

IOR 3/4 toner for the 1971 Admiral Cup and the round the UK Race. Built in Greece by Olympic Yachts, it features a very sturdy fiberglass / divynicell sandwich hull where woodworkmanship abounds.
The cockpit is designed for safety at sea. It is relatively small and secure. Its left lazarette can host 2 large sails, or an inflatable dinghy and the barbecue! Large access to the port side of the engine.
Two steps lead to the main cabin. On port, a kitchen area is fitted with a safe Origo alcohol double top burners stove (2007). A new foot pump (2009) is located over the trash can locker. From this locker, we can access the engine's sea water pump in order to change the impeller (yearly). Two drawers and a locker below the stove contain utensils, casserole, silverware.
The Ice box is located between the trash can area and the cooking area. Far away from the engine compartment, it keeps a block of ice for 36 hours.
Opposite to the kitchen is the navigation table. Behind the table is a comfortable quarter berth with aeration to the cockpit. The polyethylene diesel tank is located below it.
The base of the nav table hosts two long drawers for tools and spares. The bottom locker is ideal for maintenance supplies.
A "wing" table is centered over the keel. Port settee hosts the batteries and the flexible water tank. Starboard settee offers a large locker. We presently store heavy spare tackle.Above both settees are two watch berth. Quite suitable for children. We use them as library and clothes storages. In total, the vessel sleeps five people (7 with the small berths ), with 6 ft headroom.
Walking forward is the head on port. A holding tank was installed in 2000. Shower and sink have a foot pump. On starboard, a hanging closet and a 4 shelves unit are closed with sail clothes doors and zippers.
Forward large double v-berth cabin with sail storage under berth, lockers, bookshelves.

1975 Allied Princess Ketch 36 "Kyrie" Hull #59
While cruising performance is the key to a successful cruising boat space above and below decks is of paramount importance. The PRINCESS 36 is a proven performer and abounds in space and comfort. Her massive 36' hull with 27' 6" waterline and 11' beam allows for the creation of the most spacious interior arrangement ever designed for a yacht of this length. Comfort has been planned throughout, to include a spacious galley are, very efficient quarterberth and chart table area, an open and airy main cabin salon, unique head and vanity arrangement and ultra comfortable forward cabin with Vee-berths. Abundant storage is found throughout.
The PRINCESS'S deck layout is straightforward and clean. Visibility and mobility from her enormous 10' cockpit is clear and designed for safety. Wide decks and low profile trunk cabin add safety and convenience. (From factory brochure)

As of Sept. '09-Engine is currently being overhauled and has been pulled out of vessel. Asking price for vessel assumes that all engine work has been completed and engine has been reinstalled. If a new owner would prefer to complete/oversee the engine work themself then price may be adjusted accordingly. Bottom paint needs to be renewed. "Kyrie" is an excellent cruising or liveaboard boat in very good condition for her age. 2008 BUC Blue Book Value (I haven't seen 2009 prices) was $32,000 without all of the extras such as central A/C, radar, etc. The reason for the low asking price is that the owner is getting married and no longer has the time for good upkeep. Reasonable offers are encouraged, but please don't waste time with ridiculous offers.

After 30 plus years sailing the waters of Long Island Sound and Narragansett Bay, my wife and I have decided to sell our one owner, well maintained 2006 Catalina 36 sailboat, “Spritzer.” “Spritzer” has been an especially pleasing experience as she is easy to sail, maneuver, and motor. Her sails, roller furling main and jib, are easy to handle and power the boat at speeds up to 7 knots. A winged keel makes for easy maneuvering and her Universal M-35 with only 168 hours easily powers the boat on those rare occasions when there is no wind on the bay. Features such as dinghy davits with dinghy and motor, tank monitoring system, canvas package and Link 10 have contributed to the joys of cruising. When the sailing season is over, Spritzer is covered with a Fairclough frame and cover protecting her from the elements. Included in the price is an extensive list of standard features and options that make “Spritzer” a sail-away bargain at $159,500.00. Photo Gallery at www.flickr.com/photos/dave_f_n/

|
|
This heavily constructed, (52,000 lbs) fiberglass, pilothouse cruising ketch is 51 feet on deck and 63 feet overall. She was manufactured by experienced and long time boat builder, Hudson Enterprise Inc. Taiwan. The hull was designed by one of Seattle’s well known and long term architects, Bill Garden. Important hull and interior design changes were incorporated during the 1985 build. These design changes increased interior space, made the cabins more attractive, comfortable and livable. This model was sold under two names, the Venice 51 and the Mickelson 51.
The deck structure was redesigned from earlier versions known as the Force Fifty to incorporate vacuum impregnated epoxy into the fiberglass encasing the marine plywood deck sections. This major design change increased the deck strength, greatly deterred water from entering the marine plywood in the deck and isolated deck sections from sources of water migration. The deck structure had been a major problem in previous designs because the deck was merely a 3 layer laminated structure of fiberglass wood and fiberglass. In that design, if water entered through the top layer of glass, it easily migrated through the thin layers of untreated plywood, which then could start the dry rot weakening of the whole deck.

This boat is in excellent condition. It is kept on a lift, out of the water. The sails have were recently reconditioned and there is no work needed to be done on this boat. I'm selling it because I've purchased another sailboat. This model has the features of the larger sailboats, yet the responsiveness of smaller boats. With standup head room in the cabin, fore and aft berths, an enclosed head with a shower, there is room the stay over a long weekend with comfort. It has a walkthru transom, making it easy to enter and exit the water while swimming. Wheel steering and a reliable yanmar diesel adds to the big boat feel. It has a roller furling Genoa and is rigged to fly an asymmetrical spinnaker. All lines come back to the cockpit for one person sailing. The keel is a bulb/wing design, so it is ideal for shallow areas. The boat gets compliments because of its great shape for its age.
